• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

A champion of the collecting world.

Me thinks he's gonna need a bigger building but the concept is spot on
😎

I was lucky to visit the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter last year to see this fascinating collection.

Fabulous that he managed to specialise in one genre, it makes life so much easier DAMHIK ;)
I wonder if they have other collections on display and how he comes to have them there?

Cheers, Andy

Are you thinking about starting collecting then, Andy

I seem to think the RAMM has a collectors corner and invites interested parties to display their collections for a limited period. I'll be back at the end of April for another mooch around.

Nah, I only have 4.:)

I wonder if anyone would be interested in my book collection when I eventually throw a rod. Over a hundred books dedicated to Carpentry and Joinery, and then another hundred or so books and catalogues on Woodworking Machinery, and always collecting more!

"I don't know what you mean !"

It's not looking good Jim, the lathes and bandsaws are now showing signs of a takeover bid 🫣😉

Cheers, Andy
