• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

    Small cyclone system...WIP

Doug where is the cyclone from? I have a big axminster thing on wheels thats connected to the sawbench, problem is it looses suction through blocking the pleated filter. I thought I could cannibalise parts and add a cyclone. It is quite a powerful thing, got it cheap because the bloke said it...

I had detectorists in my to watch list for a couple of years but whenever I offered it for evening viewing mrs said no thanks. I decided to watch it without her, she then comes in and gets hooked so I have to go back to the first episode and start again. Weirdly when watching the picture was...

A little bit of wadkin history

When wadkin main factory got demolished I managed to buy the front doors. Had to hire a van and drive to leicester. They've been sat in my garden under a tarp for about 10years. I thought the best way to get them refinished and fitted was to put them in my shed. I thought if they were in the way...

They do sound nice with that rover v8. My daughter was 10 when we had it and loved getting lifts with her friends. They were really cheap maybe £4k for a good one. They are about £18k nowadays.

Oh now we talking, landies I've had a few, series 2, 3, 110 van, 110 county station wagon, 90 pickup. My fave was the 101 forward control GS, at 7mpg was expensive to run. I've always wanted a 101 vampire created for the cold war.

    Arts & Crafts house

I think one of the best times to go is when the rhododendrons are in bloom. Considered a weed now, they are being routed out. But they still do a great flowering display when going around the drive section.

The place we stopped at was dog friendly, probably lots are nowadays. We did want to stop at the place we had our honeymoon 25years ago but it has gone all uber plush and was too pricey at £500 a night. We never really got to see outside much it was hossing it down. Which it did the whole time...
