• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

    Ceanothus Tree

    I have just learnt that the life of a Ceanothus is only 12 to 15 years so mine is a old timer and I have just had to cut it down. Has anyone tried turning or making it into veneer, or using it for anything. Or is it a case of a log burner. Any information would be welcome. Richard

    veneering on OSB

    With the availability of various thicknesses now of OSB. Has any of our guru's tried or have tips on veneering. To my mind due to its structure does this affect having to use a backing veneer or other layering oddities :?: Or is this a case of suck it and see. Richard

    On page 24 of the Kapex 120 manual, using the 4 cut method of testing angles. A statement says "The factory calibration threshold is ± 0.16°" .     Veneering on MDF

    In the past when applying veneer to plywood I have always balanced the other side with a layer of an other veneer to equal the stresses out irregardless of the thickness. Do the same rules apply if using say 10mm MDF? Grateful for any advice on past experience. Richard
