• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Hi All
After some weeks of lurking, I finally decided join this forum, but when I started to set up an account, I discovered that I had already registered in 2014. I made a few posts, and then I disappeared and lurked on, err, a couple of other forums.

Over time, I had given up on posting altogether.

It's good to see that, after a long absence, this forum is thriving. And I note that there are a number of familiar faces joining up.

I am retired, and I enjoy making small pieces of furniture while working with (mainly) hand tools. The size of my collection of hand tools is not matched by my skill level, and my output of completed projects is very low compared to what I see being produced by others.

Welcome back, I think you will find there are a a fair few of us in the same position having been a member for a long time but more active posting wise elsewhere. Still we are active now and can help contribute to making this a place we all enjoy and want to be

Guys - Thanks for your warm words of welcome!

Rob - nice to 'see' you again. Yep - I remember a few of our conversations from the past. BTW - I still treasure my 'Blokeblade'. It's stored in a box and used for dovetail marking only (no cutting up cardboard or scoring aluminium).

Roger S - I live on the outskirts of Worcester - been here a few years now.

Mike G - erm ... I do have some - ahem! - machinery.
