Have I lost the plot?

On our way home from Haverfordwest yesterday my nearest and dearest fancied a coffee at the drive through Costa. Whilst waiting to place our order we glanced at the Menu Board. On it was one particular item which drew our attention namely a vegan smoked ham and cheese toastie.
There is also a TV advert for the Vegetarian Butchers.
This is not an anti vegan post but is the English language being abused?

Yeh but...... Marketing folks will have checked with a considerable number of vegans about phraseology of their products. Unless .... These products are aimed at proto-vegans.

I think fake meats are mainly aimed at non-vegan parents who cook for their children (or children’s friends) or starter vegetarians. Their design & naming is surely down to meat-eating culture. I mean it’d be fun to think that it suggests some kind of moral failing or hypocrisy on the part of vegans, but it’d be a little bit like suggesting that little kids are really wannabe cannibals because they love fish fingers so much.

He was a woodwork teacher, can’t find any record of furniture or anything else made, so presumably put his efforts into his other interest. Mind you to look at him on his wedding day he looks like a good steak would have done him the world of good. Ian
