R.I.P to the Nice victims

I have posted this on the "other" site.

R.I.P to all the victims of the Nice terrorist attack, it is worse that they were slayed inside a church.
There is no place in this world for those idiots that are responsible for attacks in the name of religion.
My thoughts and heart go out to France along with prayers that one day it will stop.

It's a horrible thing, especially for the families that have just lost loved ones in such a horrific way. Unfortunately, I believe these attacks are going to be more commonplace in the near future in France due to high-tensions in the East concerning Macron's refusal to back down over the French people's freedom of speech. Particularly the freedom of expression of the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo, which is pretty much at the centre of the issue with their satirical publishings of the Prophet Muhammed which offends many of the Islamic faith although they do make satire out of every religion, public figure, event and so on, no one is safe from Charlie Hebdo and Macron supports that.

These videos were taken a day before the Nice attack. It only takes one or two people out of tens of thousands to become extremists and cause terror.

Remind me ? When was the last time a Christian beheaded someone ? Or a Hindu ? A Jain ?. A Buddhist ? Sorry, it's their death-cult...sorry, religion. You or I can't go into mosques and challenge those imams preaching hatred. So it's down to them to sort it out. But they don't.

And yet when Bataclan happened ? Or Manchester ? Why wasn't the mainstream Islamic community out there protesting and saying 'Not in our name ' ? I don't recall reading about it happening.

In all seriousness though, yes, beheading is a very shocking method of causing terror but I would assume this is the go-to method because guns much like in the UK are heavily regulated in France and I would again assume that the hiring of heavy vehicles like the one used in the 2016 Truck attack in Nice has become much more stringent since. Had the attackers had access to more dangerous equipment they would've used it to it's full potential to either go on another Bataclan-esque attack or another Truck attack.

Right I’m going to lock this one down now.

This is a very sensitive subject and while the loss of life is obviously tragic, the furthering religious discussion is not in the woodworking field and will only go one way.
